A report by WJAC indicates that the school announced its plan to dissolve the planned justice center, in favor of using money to increase awareness of racial diversity and inclusion efforts to all students on campus. Bernice King of the Martin Luther King center says that working to end racism is not the same as diversity efforts. The school says it will continue its efforts to study racial bias and hopefully grow in years to come. The idea for a center came to light after the killing of George Floyd in Minnesota.
