Authorities with the Altoona Police Department announced charges against six individuals for their connections to two separate fatal overdoses in Blair County.
Police say on the afternoon of March 4th, officers were dispatched to a residence along the 1400 block of 14th Ave. for a report of a fatal drug overdose.Authorities say an autopsy determined that the 42-year-old male victim died as a result of a multi-drug overdose that consisted of fentanyl, methamphetamine, Xylazine. Police noted that fentanyl and Xylazine are often combined and sold as “heroin.”
