News reports indicate the accident occurred along South Logan Blvd at the intersection with Convention Centre Llvd, just after 12 noon yesterday. Allegheny Twp police reported that a 66 year old man was driving his bike when he collided with an SUV. The victim was taken from the scene to UPMC Altoona, but died later from unknown injuries. State police assisted at the scene along with Lakemont, Hollidaysburg and Allegheny Twp fire departments. The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of his family. The investigation continues.
