WJAC reports that police in Windber say they have filed rape charges against 20 year old Thomas Rivera. Rivera is one of 8 people charged with the kidnapping of 19 year old Hayden Garreffa, who was found dead last month in Brush Valley Twp. In the new case, a 13 year old female told police that Rivera raped her after they communicated on Snapchat. Rivera and the alleged victim met at the girls home, where the assault took place. Police say they found an article of clothing belonging to Rivera in the girl’s bedroom. Rivera is now charged with rape, unlawful contact with a minor, statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors.
