Accroding to results in the Altoona Mirror, state representative Jim Gregory retained his 80th district house seat, easily defeating challenger Kimberly Capanos by 16,000+ votes. 79th district rep Lou Schmitt will go back to Harrisburg again. Both Gregory and Schmitt will be in their 3rd terms. The most contested race in the house, saw incumbent Frank Burns go ahead of challenger Renae Billow early this morning. It appears that mail in ballots put burns in the lead overnight, and looks like that will carry him to victory. In he race for the 30th state senate seat, Judy Ward of Blair County won by more than 50,000 votes over her challenger, Cathy Taylor. And 13th district congressman Dr. John Joyce is headed back to washington for his 3rd term in office. All election results are unofficial
