WJAC reported that the lawsuit of behalf of Kevin Siehl was settled for $600,000 this week. Siehl was convicted for the 1991 murder of his wife. But that conviction was overturned and Siehl was freed after investigators discovered that eviednce had been tainted in his case. The lawsuit was filed back in 2018 against both the prosecutor in his case and police who investigated. Siehl died in march at age 66, but his family continued with the lawsuit. The settlement now brings the Siehl case to an official close.
