News reports indicate the estate of the late Kevin Siehl has settled its wrongful death lawsuit with the Johnstown Police Dept and the Cambria County District Attorney’s office. Last week, it was reported that Cambria County settled for $600,000. Now a report states that the family of Siehl, who died in march of this year will receive $8.2 million from the Johnstown Police Dept. Siehl was convicted for the 1991 killing of his wife, but that was overturned after investigation into the evidence proved it was tainted and brought to trial. The $8.2 million settlement is the third largest ever paid in Pennsylvania.
