WJAC reports that police have arrested 47 year old Elizabeth Buckins after it was discovered that she had been diverting medications for her own use allegedly. The report states that a fellow nurse at the hospital found a used syringe in a restroom back in July. Video footage reportedly shows Buckins loading a syringe then going in to the restroom. She is also accused of falsifying patient records for drug dosages, that allegedly were never administered. Buckins was later tested and found to have several drugs in her system, including morphine, marijuana and amphetamines. She was arraigned yesterday and was released on charges of possession of controlled substances, falsifying records and obtaining controlled substances for misrepresentation.
