The report states that the D.A’s office issued a statement regarding the Hollidaysburg teacher who kept the book titled “gender queer” in the classroom. Several parents raised concerns over the book being in the classroom and available to students, so an investigation was undertaken. In its statement, the district attorney conducted interviews and determined that there is no criminal activity in this case for it to proceed. However, the report did say that the investigation is an on gonig one, but there is no evidence so far to bring criminal charges against the unidentified teacher. She has been instructed not to bring the book back to school, and Hollidaysburg police will contiune to conduct interviews if any other witnesses come forward.
