A report by WTAJ indicates that the county commissioners have filed a lawsuit claiming that a bond beam was not installed in the roof of the county jail, and the mistake was not discovered until recently. The suit claims that the beam was to help stop items from shifting and help prevent the roof from leaking, which could lead to water damage. The commissioners then revealed that it cost the county between $2-3 million to correct the problem, and they filed the lawsuit to try and get back some of that taxpayer money that had to pay for the error.
