According to news reports, Clearfield County Coroner Kim Shaffer Snyder has identified the victim as 41 year old Edward Schmidt. His body was discovered in Woodland Park earlier this week. Snyder says that a preliminary cause of death may be attributed to a drug overdose, but results from a toxicology report will be not be ready for several weeks. An autopsy was performed yesterday, but results of that procedure were not released. The investigation is ongoing.
