Television news reports indicate that 22 year old Nick Feinstein was killed when he got caught in an avalanche while skiing with his father. Feinstein was the son of University of Northern Colorado President Andy Feinstein. The two men were in a back country area known as the numbers, when the avalanche hit, burying both men. Andy Feinstein was able to call for help, but rescuers did not find his son for 90 minutes. The accident occurred last weekend. The younger Feinstein was a 6th semester student at Penn State in the college of sciences and technology.
