Busy year for state troopers getting drugs off of streets

A report by state police indicates that in 2022, troopers and investigators seized more than $65 million worth of illegal drugs. In the final three months of 2022, troopers report they took some $10.3 million worth of cocaine, marijuana. Methamphetamines, fentanyl and heroin off of the streets, along with other assorted pills and narcotics. Overall, 546 lbs of cocaine, 691 lbs of meth, 348 lbs of fentanyl, 60 lbs of heroin and 78oo lbs of marijuana was seized. State police also collected nearly 800 lbs of medications with its prescription drug take back program.
