A report from Harrisburg indicates that Gov Wolf will leave office having issued more than 2450 pardons during his 8 year term in office. That number is more than double the amount set by former Gov Ed Rendell, who issued 1122 pardons. Wolf says he took the pardon process very seriously with each and every pardon he signed. Wolf said that those he pardoned, deserved a second chance. A pardon means that a person receives total forgiveness from the state for a criminal conviction, and allows for records of those pardoned to be exponged. As a last gesture, Wolf signed 369 pardons this week.
