According to a television news report out of Dauphin County, police arrested Duvany Zambrano of New Jersey and Sergio Jara of Allentown with scheming to defraud the turnpike out of millions of dollars. The scheme was that the suspects were purchasing thousands of e-z pass transponders in both states by using false personal and credit card information beginning back in 2018. Then the two would sell them to truck drivers who use the turnpike, which allowed Zambrano and Jara to use the turnpike toll free. The two men were indicted by a federal grand jury.
