A story from Massachusetts indicates that thieves are now tampering with the inside of gas pumps to install skimming devices that will steal your credit or debit card numbers, and clone them for others to use. Authorities say that you should check around the credit card swiping area and look for anything suspicious. Also, check the keypad, if the numbers are hard to press, then chances are that the pad has been tampered with. Three truck stops in located in Massachuettes were found to have had gas pumps that were tampered with. Also police tell us to use pumps closest to an attendant, and to pay with cash and inside a store when possible.
