Shapiro takes oath, becomes Governor

Josh Shapiro took the oath of office to become Governor yesterday before a large crowd in Harrisburg. Shapiro leaves his post as state attorney general to become governor. That role has been taken over by Michelle Henry, his top deputy in the office for 6 years. Shapiro told the crowd that he is looking forward to working with the state legislature for the benefit of all Pennsylanians. He did not however talks about any possible policies he has in mind for PA, or if he will continue with Wolf administration policies that are in existence. Shapiro said that freedom and democracy are paramount for Pennsylvania residents, and he will keep it that way. He also said that bipartisanship will be a key factor in running PA government.
