A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that Christopher Cook has spent some $300,000 on the building since purchasing it, and replaced the worn out roof. Also, Cook says that some 30 tons of debris has been removed and has made major repairs to the inside of the structure. Cook indicates that between loans, tax credits and funds from local municipal organizations, renovations to the facility will keep moving forward, and cook hopes to have all of the work completed by the end of 2024. Cook gave a report to the redevelopment authority on the buildings progress last week. Cook also reported that he has received interest from several vendors about the lower floor of the building.
