A report by WJAC and other television news outlets indicate that the SNAP program, also known as food stamps, that provides monthly stipends of cash to welfare recipients, will be cutting its monthly allotment by $95 per person. That is because a federal allotment program that increased monthly stipends during the height of the Covid era will end at the end of February. All snap recipients will be returning to pre pandemic levels of how much money they will receive each month.
