In a report by WTAJ, a judge on the Bedford County Court of common pleas says that three mistrials in the past nine months sends trouble warnings throughout the county. Judge Travis Livengood made the comment after a third mistrial was declared last month. The judge said that Bedford D.A. Leslie Childers-Potts made an in appropriate comment while questioning a state trooper during the trial of Nathan Jackson. Judge Livengood said that the other 2 mistrials were the result of misconduct by the D.A. The second one that involves double jeopardy. That means a suspect cannot be tried for the same crime twice.
