WJAC reports that president Dr. Neeli Bendapudi told the gathering of the Centre County Chamber of Business and Industry luncheon that the university has a yearly 9 figure deficit, and that is unsettling to her. Dr. Bendapudi also said that this was not a one time deficit created by the pandemic, and has been lingering for several years, and it must be addressed. She also told the business leaders that the shrinking population of Pennyslvania is also a concern, and wants the business community to lobby for more state funding.
