News reports indicate that another candidate has announced a run for the office. Dave Kessling officially announced his candidacy to become commissioner. Kessling is a veteran of the Air Force, and he says he would like to bring local leaders and community members together to work on issues impacting Blair County. Kessling says that he would like to create a blueprint to improve economic development, and to also improve county owned properties to avoid any surprise tax increases. There are now at least 5 people running for commissioner.
