The Altoona Mirror reports that Isiah Payne will stand trial beginning march 21st for the killings of Natalie Washington and Mikal Stevenson back in 2020. Yesterday, during a pretrial review, photos of the two victims were revealed and they allegedly showed each victim with gunshot wounds that apparently were too hard for Payne’s co-defendant Onya Lewis to look at. Lewis requested to leave the courtroom when the photos were brought out, telling the court she didn’t want to see them because she had nothing to do with the shootings. Payne’s lawyer argued that such actions during the trial could prejudice the jury against Payne. Lewis will be briefed on the photos before the trial begins.
