Shapiro said that he wants to rid PA of the death penalty once and for all, and he wants to work with lawmakers to abolish the death penalty. Shapiro, like his predecessor Tom Wolf, say that the law is unfair and treats different inmates differently. There are currently 101 people on death row in PA.
