News reports indicate police finally captured 27 year old Christopher Catich after he fled from police last week. Police say that they pulled Catich over after receiving a complaint of a welfare check that went bad. Police found 4 people passed out inside a car on 6th street and Crawford Avenue. Catich drove away from the scene causing one person to fall out of the vehicle. Catich remained free until Wednesday, when he was spotted standing on a street corner. Catich reportedly ran inside a house, but eventually surrendered to police. Catich made news in 2021, when he escaped from Altoona Police and ended up in dauphin county still wearing handcuffs placed on him in Altoona. Catich is facing many charges, along with several arrest warrants.
