The yearly 46 hour dance marathon was held over the weekend at the Bryce Jordan Center, and for the second straight year, a new record was achieved. The marathon is held to raise money for the 4 diamonds fund, which supports cancer research and treatment in children. Last year, Thon raised $13.7 million, but this year, many went above and beyond. The grand total announced last night was more than $15 million raised. The annual Thon has raised over $200 million since it was founded in 1977. More than 700 students took part in this years event.
