Dubois city manager charged with theft

Multiple news reports came out yesterday indicating that 62 year old John Suplizio, the city manager in Dubois has been arrested and charged with stealing public money. The news reports tell a story of theft that is well over $600,000. Suplizio is accused of stealing funds from several accounts tied to the Dubois community days activities. The attorney generals office said that Suplizio allegedly stole the money to pay off his personal credit card debts, made campaign contributions and for gambling. The reports also stated that Suplizio is charged with possibly illegally entering into business contracts that benefited him financially. Suplizio is charged with fraud, theft and tax fraud of public accounts connected with the city of Dubois. He is free on $100,000 secured bail.
