Channel 6 reported that 62 year old Herb Suplizio was allegedly taking money from numerous Dubois city accounts over several years, allegedly totaling more than $600,000. Suplizio is accused of stealing from Dubois general fund, the fire dept, a Dubois parade account and from several other municipal bank accounts. Suplizio is accused of stealing more than $264,600 from public accounts, and an additional $350,000 perpetrated by tax fraud of those public accounts. All tolled, it comes to more than $620,000 stolen to allegedly pay for his personal credit card debt, gambling in New York state casinos and for political contributions. The state attorney general is handling the case.
