According to a WTAJ report, the county has achieved the top county status in the state with a 14.5% growth for its gross domestic product. It was measured to be at $1.44 billion for the calendar year 2020-21. The rise in Bedford County’s GDP is due to its manufacturing companies, which totals more than 50. The president of the Bedford county development assoc told TV10 that leadership at those companies played a strong part with this designation. More businesses have expressed an interest in setting up shop in Bedford County
