The Altoona Mirror reports that Mike Leonard has announced he will run in the May primary. Leonard says that the residents of Altoona need help, and one way to do that is by investing in our city. Leonard says that improved infrastructure is what the city needs from maintained parks, to safer sidewalks and alleys and to provide safe and affordable housing for all. Leonard told the mirror that his campaign will focus strictly on Altoona, and not about national politics. He will run as a democrat, and said its not about the D or R beside your name that counts, its helping the city that matters most.
