John Suplizio was suspended from the city manager position last week by Dubois City Council. The Clearfield County commissioners relayed that information to Channel 6. Suplizio is facing charges of allegedly stealing more than $600,000 from Dubois city accounts and from the Dubois Area United Way, where he is accused of using that money to pay off personal credit card debt, fund a gambling habit and for campaign contributions. One commissioner said that a lot of these charges are very serious. Commissioner Dave Glass told Channel 6 that the is shocked, but more saddened by this series of events.
