At the city council work session last night, council was discussing with ideas on how to spend nearly $40 million of funds from the American Rescue Plan. Some of that money has already been used for certain projects, and now council is looking for other projects. Most on council seem to agree that the city’s infrastructure is a major concerns to use the money on. And also, storm water drainage, which has been a sore spot in several areas of the city also may be addressed. Blighted buildings may come into play as well, but on a priority basis.
