The freshman senator was discharged last week from Walter Reed Army Hospital after spending 6 weeks for clinical chronic depression. A report out of Harrisburg stated that Fetterman has returned to his home in Braddock, and is planning on returning to his job in Washington by mid April, when the Senate chamber is scheduled to be back in session. In the report, medical statements claim that Fetterman was suffering from severe depression, which led to not eating, having low energy and poor sleep and no desire to work. Since Fetterman’s absence, democrats in the Senate say it has been hard to get the necessary votes on issues such as nominations for key positions in government.
