A report by WTAJ indicates that a new license plate for your vehicle will benefit plants, bees and several other insects across Pennsylvania. PennDot says that folks can now purchase what is being called a “pollinator” license plate. 65% of the proceeds from the sale of these plates will go to the pollinator habitat program fund, which supports the population of insects and plant life. The money will also help create plant and insect friendly gardens. The plates are available for cars and trucks that do not exceed 14,000 pounds of gross weight, and can be purchased on the PennDot website by submitting form MV-911, which is a site for special fund registration plates.
