WJAC reported that police arrested 41 year old Felix Martinez for helping to steal $25,000 from a woman in state college. Police say the woman received a call from someone telling her that her grandson was in jail, and the caller needed $25,000 cash for legal fees. The woman complied and packed up the cash, and an unknown man picked up the package at her home. Then the victim claimed to have received a second call the next day, demanding an additional $9875. This time police were waiting and caught Martinez with that package. He told police he was working for a man identified as Victor Rosario. Martinez is in the Centre County jail charged with theft. Bail was set at $100,000.
