But, in Bellefonte, borough officials spoiled an egg hunt this year. A report by WTAJ indicates that organizers of the hunt scheduled the event for Talleyrand Park on Saturday, with hundreds of people expected to show. What also showed up was a bill for $210 for the use of Talleyrand Park. Organizers were dumbfounded at receiving the bill, saying that they have never been charged for the use of the park in the past 14 years. One of the event organizers says she will speak with borough council at thier next meeting to try and get the fee waived, or perhaps an explanation of why the group was sent a bill. The event did take place as scheduled.
