Last week, a report by WJAC TV indicated that police have charged 43 year old Heather Evans with the arson death of 75 year old Mark Stewart last year. The report suggests that Evans started the fire at a home on East 5th avenue, then fled the scene. Investigators discovered burn patterns near the base of the home’s stairwell. Evans is then accused of setting several smaller fires in the days that followed the fatal blaze. Evans, who says she is a witch and egyptian goddess pleaded not guilty to the charges at her arraignment last week. She is locked up in the Blair ounty jail without bail.
