A report by WTAJ indicates that the 2 municipalities will now have to re-evaluate a possible merger after former Dubois city manager John Suplizio was arrested on theft charges. Suplizio was arrested in march for allegedly stealing more than $600,00 from Dubois, and that financial loss could set back plans for the merger. A forensic analysis of city funds has now been ordered. Grant money will pay for 90% of that forensic analysis, and officials from both Dubois and Sandy Twp say they will wait to find out the results of the analysis before moving forward.
