A report from Harrisburg indicates that voters have until 5 pm on may 9th, to request a mail in or absentee ballot. Then their ballot must be filled out, and returned to their local county election board, postmarked on or before 8 pm on May 16th, the day of the primary vote. Officials say to avoid any last minute delays, you should allow for plenty of time to both apply for these ballots, then mail them or hand deliver them before the deadline.. Any ballots received after the 8 pm deadline, even with a postmark before 8 pm, will not count, according to the report in the Altoona Mirror.
