GACTC asks for more from participating districts

The report states that the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center released its preliminary budget for next school year, and is asking participating districts to pay more money. In all, the center is looking for a 2.87 % increase in contributions from other school districts, that would generate more than $6.6 million. In all, the increase would generate about $186,000 in new revenue from all 8 districts over lat years contributions. The report also stated that the school could receive a state career and technology subsidy of $90,000. Some 1100 students are enrolled in the GACTC this school year.
