A report out of Harrisburg indicates that the bills will carry the following laws if passed…long barreled firearms must be sold with trigger locks, second… Gun owners must report lost or stolen guns to local police within 3 days…third a bill would put a stop to the so called gun show loophole that does not require background checks on people who purchase guns at a private sale and the 4th bill would require family members to call police to seize firearms from other family members if asked to do so. None of these bills made it out of committee until democrats took control of the state house this year. Republicans are expected to fight these bills, and offer funding for anti violence and mental health programs as a way to deter gun violence.
