News reports indicate that police say murder suspect Raymond Oechsle had been living in an apartment where the deceased’s body had been lying. Police said that Oeshsle allegedly confess to stabbing the victim to death on April 23rd, but the body was not discovered until police arrived at the apartment complex on 8th ave and 20th street for a burglary complaint on Wednesday. Police were sent to the building to do a welfare check on 38 year old Christopher Helsel, and found him dead. According to the reports, Helsel had been stabbed more than 60 times. Oechsle is charged with first and third degree murder, aggravated assault, burglary, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and criminal trespass.
