WJAC reports that the city of Dubois, allegedly is somehow paying for the legal defense of Herman Suplizio, the former city manager accused of stealing more than $600,000 of municipal funds. The reports say that the investigation into the missing money started last April, and a Pittsburgh law firm began to work with the city of Dubois, and billed the city $14,000. And now it has been revealed that that same law firm is representing Suplizio. He was teminiated from his position earlier this year. A member of a public organization that fights public corruption said that he is appalled that the city is actually paying for Suplizio’s defense, according to all records connected with the case.
