61 residents charged with welfare fraud

A report out of Harrisburg indicates that 61 people were identified and charged with illegally receiving public assistance benefits that they were not entitled to. The suspects allegedly misrepresented themselves to receive public assistance. Those who were charged are alleged to have taken snap, cash assistance or subsidized day care benefits that they were not entitled to. All will be banned from receiving any more public assistance, and could be subject to 7 years in prison and a $15,000 fine..
