2 nabbed for drugs during welfare check

In a report by the Altoona Mirror, state parole agents showed up at a home on to check on 38 year old Jacquelyn Gomez, and they found drugs, and drug paraphenalia inside the home along with 40 year old Micheal Nichols. The parole agents called for Altoona Police to come to the home, where they searched and found numerous items of drug paraphenalia, along with suspected powdered fentanyl. Both Nichols and Gomez denied possession of the fentanyl, but did say other drugs were in the house, which police discovered. 52 grams of fentanyl/heroin, along with some crystal meth was seized by police. Gomez and Nichols were arraigned on Friday and are in the Blair County jail
