A report out of Harrisburg says that 55 people have been identified as having allegedly stolen more than $291,000 worth of benefits that they are not entitled to. These suspects will have to pay restitution. They also are facing the possibility of jail time and fines. Each person could spend 7 years behind bars, and pay a $15,000 fine plus the restitution. If convicted, the suspects would then be ineligible for snap, cash benefits along with subsidized daycare for an unspecified amount of time.
