The report shows that 4 fatalities were reported on Pennyslvania highways during the weekend period from may 26-29. Troopers report that they arrested some 547 people for DUI over the holiday weekend, and issued more than 31,000 traffic citations. Also, troopers report that 142 people were injured in crashes, and that in 59 of those crashes, alcohol was a factor. The Blair County DUI task force was also out over the holiday. Only 1 DUI arrest was made, while law enforcement handed out 43 warnings and 5 citations for vehicle violations.
