WJAC reported that authorities took former teacher Robert Sines to the county lockup to begin serving a sentence for having inappropriate sexual contact with a former student while he was a teacher at the Hope for Hyndman charter school. Sines was charged with corruption of minors and indecent assault of a victim less than 13 years old. Sines was arrested in 2021 for touching a student and having a sexual relationship with that student. Along with sending sexual e-mails to the child. He will serve 11.5-23 months in jail, then will have to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
