The Altoona Mirror reports that 46 year old Melissa Thompson was sentenced to spend 2.5-8 years in prison, following her guilty plea to charges related to the stabbing incident. Thompson and the victim were at a local night club in November of 2021, when they began fighting in a restroom. Thompson had accused the victim of being an informant. The fight continued inside the club with Thompson caught on video swinging at the victim, and fleeing before police arrived. Thompson will get credit for 6.5 months already served in jail, which will lower her sentence. She will also be on probation for 7 years after she is released from jail.
