According to television news reports, the Cambria County Deputy Coroner was called to the scene on the 100 bock of Dindios Street in Carrolltown, for the discovery of a dead body. The victim was identified as Eric Bender, who was found in 10 feet of water in a pond just 100 yards from his home. Bender was given cpr while being transported to a hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The Cambria County coroner and PA State Police are investigating the drowning.
